Where your money goes
There is a vast range of requests submitted to the Foundation from hospital staff, and all hospital areas have “wish lists” for items of equipment and support that are deemed to be “above the line” (unable to be funded by the Government). The Foundation looks to build partnerships with sponsors and donors to make our health environment more comfortable and attractive.

Children's Hospital
The Babytherm 8000 is a warming bed providing conductive heat through an actively heated gel mattress. The bed can be tilted between 20° down and 15° up. Its height is adjustable and the side panels can be folded down to provide complete access. Babies cared for in this type of incubator experience less stress because of the comfortable warmth of the gel mattress and grow faster.
This open care system is effective in weaning babies from being dependant on external heat to maintain their temperature.
