The Countdown Kids Hospital Appeal cheque presentation was held at Countdown Newtown this morning. The Appeal raised over $156,000 for Wellington Children's Hospital - thanks to champion managers Sandi and Mel, the fantastic store managers in the region, staff and customers of Countdown Supermarkets in the region.

The wonderful Kirkcaldies team has visited Wellington Hospital again this year to set up their beautiful big Christmas Tree in the Hospital Atrium and in the Children's Hospital. They had some help of patients on the ward, adding glitter baubles to the tree.Read more
The Porirua Bunnings Team visited Children's Hospital this morning armed with pots, plants and paints for the kids to decorate. The children were given a pot each (or 2 or 3 pots!) to paint and plant a flower, plant or lettuce in.Read more

They delivered gift vouchers from Whitcoulls and Toyworld, plus a cheque to the Wellington Hospitals & Health Foundation. The amount raised totalled just over $2000 and was raised by the Year 10 Business Enterprise students where they created small business and sold products and produce at their Market Day in Term Three.Read more
