This morning the Managing Director of Progressive Enterprises, Peter Smith, presented the Wellington Hospitals & Health Foundation a cheque for $210,947.80.
Fresh Future 2008 has begun. The campaign lead by Progressive Enterprises - Foodtown, Countdown, Woolworths, FreshChoice and SuperValue - last year raised $1million for New Zealand's Children's Hospitals, from which we received $210,000.
The Rotary Club of Port Nicholson recently held a fundraising breakfast at the Intercontinental Hotel in Wellington for 220 guests. Funds raised are to go to Wellington Children's Hospital. Ian Patterson from Just Paterson Real Estate auctioned off a number of items at the breakfast. The Foundation is very appreciative of the support of the Rotary Club. Funds raised will go towards much needed equipment in the childrens hospital.
The generosity continues in New Zealand as Campbell Live has picked up the Stolen Toys Appeal.
Following the advertisements generously run by the Dominion Post; RadioNetwork have been publicising our Stolen Toy Appeal nationwide and we have received tremendous support!
We were shocked this week to hear that toys and electronic equipment had been stolen from Ward 18 of the Wellington Children's Hospital.
