Royal Doulton Tiles Restoration
The Doulton Tiles have been a feature of Wellington Hospital for many years. At present there are six on display in the Children’s Hospital nine have been put aside for inclusion in the new regional hospital. Funding being has been raised for their restoration. Damage includes chips and cracks. Professional craftmanship will restore them to their former glory for all patients and families enjoyment.
The Community Trust of Wellington has generously provided $50,000 to enable the Royal Doulton Tiles to be reinstalled within the New Regional Hospital.
The former Wellington Hospital Mural Trust also raised $71,000 over many years to ensure patients enjoyment of the lovely Nursery Rhymes
