HOSPI Bike Ride 2010

Sunday, 14th March 2010, 8am

The second annual HOSPI bike ride is set to be another successful fundraiser for Wellington Children's Hospital.  Hosted by our mascot HOSPI, hundreds of cyclists will take to the road in support of our sick kids.

The ride begins at Kenepuru Hospital in Porirua, travels through several Wellington suburbs including Makara Valley, Brooklyn and Owhiro Bay to finish at Wellington Hospital in Newtown.

For event information and to register, please visit www.hospibikeride.co.nz.

Attention Volunteer Marshalls: We really need Volunteers to be Marshals at this event! As a Marshal you will be designated a position on the cycle route and issued with a high visibility vest.  You are there as a visual reminder to other road users that their are cyclists on the road and also to cheer the riders on!  So if you can help keep our cyclists safe between 8am and 12pm, please contact Maria Quigley at maria.quigley@ccdhb.org.nz or by phoning 0800 WGTN HOSPI (9486 46).  Thank you!

New Zealand Art Show 2010

Friday, 30th July 2010

Time:     6:30 – 9:30pm
Price:    $60
Where: TSB Bank Arena, Queens Wharf, Wellington

Wellington Children's Hospital has been named the Official Charity of the New Zealand Art Show (previously known as the New Zealand Affordable Art Show) and a special evening is being held at the New Zealand Art Show to raise funds for Wellington Children's Hospital.

In 2009, the inaugural fundraising event was held and the NZ Art Show was delighted to be able to donate $5,000 to the Children's Hospital from ticket sales.

The evening was a great success, with fine wine, delicious food and live entertainment to make the evening an enjoyable event for all.  The New Zealand Art Show is confident that the 2010 fund-raiser will be an equally successful evening with even more being raised and donated to a worthwhile cause.

Tickets for the 2010 event are on sale now and can be purchased:
