Duties of a Volunteer
The duties vary to suit individual volunteers who wish to give their time for a great cause.
An example of some duties include:
- greeting patients and visitors
- directing and assisting people to their destination
- patient and staff support (excluding hands on care)
- comfort and conversation
- flower care
- errands for patients
- delivering books
- providing information about the hospital
- directions and maps
- anticipating needs
- and other relevant activities.
