Special Evening at NZ Affordable Art Show

The New Zealand Affordable Art Show is a highlight on the art's calendar and we are very pleased to announce a special evening for Wellington Children's Hospital at this year's show on Friday 31st July.

 

Hospi Care Programme Announced for Child Cancer Unit

The Foundation recently announced a special patient and family support programme for Cancer Kids at Wellington Children’s Hospital.

The Foundation has set aside an initial $100,000 to assist Sick Kids with cancer and their families, who have to travel to Auckland or Christchurch for complex cancer treatments under our new HOSPI CARE PROGRAMME!

 

Vodafone Wellington Lions Continue Support of our Sick Kids

Swine Flu and Wellington Hospital

Swine Flu, also known as the Influenza A H1N1 virus, has been dominating the media recently as health officials prepare for an ever growing number of patients with the virus.

Our work within the Hospital is continuing as normal, however many of our Volunteers are currently staying home to reduce the spread of Swine Flu.  The main reception in the Wellington Hospital atrium is still operating for any visitors or patients to the Hospital that may need assistance.

Hospital staff are also working extra hard to keep the service running full speed during flu season and they should be commended!
